What it does

Phoenix Events answers questions about things to do in the Phoenix Valley (Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler, Mesa, Glendale), with a focus on date nights and weekends. It is read-only: it looks up listings and never books, buys or changes anything.

Coverage: Weekly and monthly regulars (tag 'recurring') through 2027-01-31; Ticketmaster-listed events across the Valley through 2027-01-30. Other hand-checked one-time events (shows, festivals, arts) run through 2026-11-08. Ticketmaster listings refresh nightly.

Set up in Claude

Open claude.ai/settings/connectors and choose Add custom connector.
Name it Phoenix Events and paste https://phx.orja.ai/mcp.
Choose No sign-in, then Add. Turn it on in a chat from the tools menu.

Set up in ChatGPT

Open ChatGPT connector settings and turn on Developer mode under Advanced.
Create a connector named Phoenix Events with the URL above and no authentication.
In a chat, pick it from the + menu under Developer mode.

Tools

Tool	What it does
`search_events`	Finds events by keywords, date range (defaults to today onward), city or venue, maximum price and tags such as `date_night`, `dance`, `recurring`, `free` or `21_plus`. Returns up to 10 results by default (50 max) and the total count.
`get_event`	Returns full details for one event by its id.
`plan_date_night`	For one evening, pairs a date-night activity with a nearby restaurant that isn't listed as closed that day, with a suggested timeline and an estimated cost per person. Filters: area, budget per person, vegetarian, and keywords such as "salsa" or "comedy".

Where the data comes from

Restaurant suggestions come from a curated list of date-night spots near the venues, each checked on the restaurant's own website; price levels are estimates. Concerts and ticketed shows come from the Ticketmaster Discovery API and refresh every night. Weekly and monthly regulars (dance socials, classes, First Fridays) and a small set of one-time events were checked by hand against the organizer's own page, then listed for each upcoming date; holiday dates are flagged because they may not run. Every listing links to its source and says when it was last checked. Details can change, so check the link before you go.

Troubleshooting

No results: the date may be outside the coverage above, or the filters may be too narrow. Try fewer tags or a wider date range.
Connector won't connect: make sure the URL ends in /mcp and that you picked no sign-in / no authentication.
Wrong time, price or place: please report it (below) with the event title and date.
